My Natural Dye Ecoprinting Kit with Pressed Flowers is a great introduction for natural dye beginners, color enthusiasts, artists, or colorists who want to work with organic natural dye flowers and learn the art of printing with plants.

This Kit Includes:

• cotton bandana (22” x 22”) /
  cotton socks
• Real Pressed Flowers – organically grown in my Natural Dye Garden: pressed & perfectly preserved. A beautiful variety of dye plant flowers in each kit.
• Natural dye fixative – alum & iron (color changer) *There is more than enough fixative included to pre-treat other items you may want to dye to extend the fun of this kit project!
• twine & gloves
• Instruction card with links to a series of private, password-protected instructional videos taught by ARAE – (available to Kit Owners only!) to guide you through the process of pre-treating, composition for your print, steaming and setting the dye and care washing for naturally dyed textiles for the longest life of your floral print.

What you’ll need:

clean bucket/container for mordant soaking, pot with lid for steaming, water. Optional: rolling tools (bamboo skewers, pipe sections, bottles, metal straws, etc.)

• Plastic-free kit comes in a 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard box printed in Indonesia with eco-friendly inks and shipped via non-plastic (cornstarch) home composting post. Instruction card is printed on renewable, eco-friendly hemp paper.
• There is enough preservative in your kit to treat more than just the included bandana/sock so you can try it yourself on existing clothing or linens in your home- (EcoPrinting is one of my favorite ways to freshen up and breathe new life into old, faded, or stained clothing).
• A great at-home experience that is great for kids (adult supervision recommended).
