In the villages surrounding the national park, we were running social activities — supporting families, building hope. But we needed funding to keep going.
At the same time, we saw something deeper:
Women who were strong, yet unsure of their own worth.
Women who wanted to work, but had limited opportunities.
Forests that protected us, yet needed protection in return.
From that intersection of need and love, ARAE was born.
