“One tree for a present and future investment”
Toward the end of 2023, Arae as a foundation and social company is organizing
end yearly events to take place in Pasir Pari Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency.
This event is in collaboration with KTH Bumi Pasir Pari and the Olahwarga Foundation.
The End Year Events, scheduled from xx to xx 2023, will consist of three series of events:
charity, a friendly match, and planting. This series of events demonstrates Arae’s ability
to contribute positively to social, economic, and environmental change, aligning with
Arae’s vision of creating a better future for Mother Earth and future generations.
The tree planting serves as the conclusion to the entire series of activities that
have been carried out earlier. This tree planting is conducted in the Mount Halimun
Salak National Park (TNGHS) area. The activity begins with a long journey to the
planting site. Following that, Mr. Asep, Chairman of KTH Bumi Pasir Pari and CEO of
Arae, delivers an address and then proceeds with the tree planting as the core of this
activity.
The planting of trees is a form of preserving Mother Earth, which has been
providing life to humans and all its creatures. Just like wild fruits that can be consumed
along the journey, thickets that serve as homes for wild animals, and beautiful
landscapes. Moreover, tree planting is beneficial for providing oxygen, the lifeblood of
humans, maintaining water availability, and preventing erosion or landslides. The
Saninten tree (Castanopsis argentea), commonly known as the rambutan hutan, is the
chosen tree species for planting because it is an endemic plant in the forest zone area
and can produce abundant oxygen.
Therefore, Arae, along with the Olahwarga Foundation and KTH Pasir Pari,
invites us to conclude and welcome the new year by preserving our environment. One
tree represents a long-term investment to sustain the present and future life. This small
step has the potential to inspire all of us to collectively embrace positive change for
Mother Earth and a better future.
